PSG - A force to Reckon this Season

Football meme pages had a field day when PSG failed to win against Club Brugge, a club with a squad worth of only 10% compared to the Parisiens. However, that's not to say that PSG is doomed and bound for failure. Far from it actually.

PSG has added a list of star players and have gone full blown in this year's summer transfers. Adding the world's biggest names like Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Nuno Mendes, this year's PSG line up can create havoc in the coming year.

One of the strongest candidates and by far the favourites to win the Champions League this season is PSG. The signing of the GOAT Lionel Messi, one of the greatest centre backs of all time Sergio Ramos, and the Euro winning Goal Keeper of Italy National Team, Gianluigi Donnaruma is a strong indication that now is the time to win.

With great start power comes great egos. PSG's coach Pochettino acknowledges this challenge and is prepared to make it work.

Using the strengths of the stars in the squad is no easy task and has never been witnessed except by the likes of Real Madrid, who have been famous for entertaining and managing huge football stars by adding value to their name.

The team will have two of the best goalkeepers in the world, Kaylor Navas and Gianluigi Donnarumma. Their stacked options for CB will be Presnel Kimpembe, Marquinhos and now Sergio Ramos.

Coach Pochettino will have plenty of options to choose from in the middle. Marco Verratti, Leandro Paredas and with Wijnaldum joining, a strong middle ground has been established in the field.

PSG already has fastened the ground for the best attack in the game, and now with the addition of Lionel Messi, we are sure to see an action packed offensive play.

Neymar claimed Paris Saint-Germain is now well among the top five teams in world football today, which is true if you look at the star power and the squad depth. But if they win something outside the French League is yet to be seen.

Lionel Messi
Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, who wanted to leave for Real Madrid in this season but was not allowed by PSG owner, will form the attacking trio that definitely looks deadly in the line-up but is yet to create a major impact.

There is still room for improvement in their midfield as they have fewer consistent players but are remarkable when their day comes, but what if that day is not in the Finals? Yes, that is what they should be focusing on now.

Ligue 1 being less competitive will give a team like PSG room to try different formations and game-styles within the season to improve their already great chances of winning the Champions League this season and much more.

All depends on the way the coach, the players and the management take this season at hand. With skillful player management and dedicated key players to the cause can get the PSG team the dream they have been looking for years.
